Over the years, Limehouse Produce has grown from being one of the area’s original produce companies providing a handful of products, to a 50,000-square-foot facility with thousands of items. The company’s growth has been fueled by Charleston’s culinary resurgence, with every item Limehouse showcases and sells originating from demand within the local community.
H.B. Limehouse starts Limehouse Produce Company.
H.B. Limehouse’s son, Jack, assumes the business operations at 59 Market.
The company moves to the Charleston County market on Wappoo Road.
Andreas joins the Limehouse business.
Jack marries Andrea Limehouse as they grow and develop Limehouse Produce together.
In the same year, Andrea Limehouse becomes Vice President of Limehouse Produce, running all aspects of the business.
Limehouse expands its operations to a 32,000-square-foot facility on Trade Street in North Charleston.
Limehouse expands its product line to include juice.
Limehouse continues to expand its product line by including dairy.
Andrea and Jack expand operations by moving into their current 50,000-square-foot facility.
